I would like to introduce myself; my name is Kamilah Gordon and I am the Parent Liaison for Moore Elementary. A Parent Liaison works to bridge the gap between home and school by assisting parents in understanding ways they can help their children with academics.

During this school year, you will have an opportunity to attend parent workshops that will be offered at flexible times. Please look for information throughout the year regarding these workshops.

If you are looking for additional resources to assist your student at home, please check our website or visit our school Parent Resource Center located in the Media Center. Open during school hours, parents can browse through our assortment of: games, manipulatives, brochures, pamphlets and handouts to find wonderful resources to work with your child at home. Please feel free to contact me any time if you need support or information on how to improve your child's academic performance in school.

February Stakeholder Meeting

Thank you to the families who attended our Donuts & Discussions Stakeholder Meeting on February 25, 2026. We appreciate your time, honest feedback, and continued partnership with Moore Elementary. During the meeting, we reviewed and gathered input on our School-Parent & Family Engagement Policy and School-Parent Compact, discussing ways to strengthen communication, clarify shared responsibilities, and better support student learning at home and at school. Families shared helpful suggestions about flexible meeting options, academic resources, and strategies to increase meaningful family involvement.

We also discussed the reservation of Title I funds and how those resources support family engagement events, parent workshops, and learning materials. Additionally, we shared how we are building school and staff capacity through ongoing professional learning and data-driven instruction to ensure strong outcomes for all students. Your feedback will directly inform revisions to our policies and future engagement plans. If you were unable to attend, we still welcome your input and encourage you to participate in the upcoming family feedback survey.
